1-99 Smithing Guide 2013 Runescape - fast and cheapest 99 Smithing Guide (with gold bars)

Updated on August 18, 2013

1-99 smithing can be trained as F2P and P2P. Logically, the 1-99 smithing P2P guide is a lot faster and more profitable. Getting 99 smithing belongs to those skills that cost a lot of money (150-200m if using the fast method), but one can also make some money out of it (if using the slower method).

In this 99 smithing guide, I will first write about the fastest 99 smithing guide that costs 150-200m and then about the slower method that can even make some profit. In the end, there will be some helpful items listed and tips and tricks.

mbyL's fast 1-99 Smithing Guide 2012

1-29: Simply complete the quest “The Knight’s Sword”

29-33: Create unfinished iron bolts.

33-48: Make iron plate bodies. You can make up to 90k xp per hour.

48-68: Make steel bodies. You will be able to get up to 140k xp per hour.

68-88: Make mithril plate bodies. Making mithril plate bodies will get you 170k xp per hour!

88-99: the last items to make are adamant plate bodies. You can do up to 210k xp in one hour!

The place of choise is the varrock west bank, because just south of it, there are anvils and the way is very, very short, making it to an ideal place.

1-29: See above.

29-35: Make 2h iron swords.

35-60/70: Make cannon balls. This method only makes about 11k xp per hour, but you can make up to 175k gp per hour, depending on the GE prices. I did this for a short while, because I didn’t want to pay the cannon balls for slayer, because I was doing slayer with the cannon for a while ;).

60-70: Make mithril bolts at the blast furnance in world 58. This is excellent xp and money!

70-85: Make adamant bars at the blast furnance in world 58 again. This is even better money, because you can make over 250k gp per hour.

85-99: The last item to make is “Runite Bar”. You have to be at the Grand Exchange with noted coal in your inventory, varrock teleport tabs and unnoted rune bars. Then go to the blast furnance and after you are done, teleport back and repeat the cycle.

Tips and Tricks and alternative ways for 99 Smithing

There is an alternative way of training 1-99 smithing at the level 48 to 99. You will have to do gold bars, wearing goldsmithing gauntlets that require the short quest “Family’s Crest”. Wear the varrock armour 2, so you can use the furnance in edgeville and make bracelets in order to prevent loss. Alternatively, you can use the spell superheat and train smithing and magic simultaneously. This makes 110k xp per hour in smithing and 100k xp per hour in magic.

Sacred Clay hammers are much recommended, because the double the experience one gets in smithing. They can be obtained in the mini-game “Stealing Creation”.

Summoning monsters are always good, because they can wear additional things for you and thus increasing the rate of experience per hour.

In the dungeoneering skill, you can get the reward “Scroll of Efficiency”. This scroll also helps you on your way to 99 smithing.

I hope this 99 Smithing guide could help you and give you some fast levels.
